All members receive an electronic newsletter "Irish Play therapy newsletter" this includes local information on upcoming training,
any changes locally, We include job opportunities and we welcome any information you would like to have included. Notices, queries,
maybe you have had an experience in your practice that you would like to hear how other therapists may have managed it in our
Therapist dilemma section. This newsletter is in its early development, first developed by Sheena Cadogan Play therapist and further
developed by Yvonne Power CEO. We look forward to its continued growth and development with the support of all our play therapy
Ireland members.

'Play for Life', is published at
least three
times a year with an annual total of at least 64 pages. It is available free of charge to all

Policy - a practical journal to support practitioners
"Play for Life" was
originally launched as "Play UK" the UK’s first
journal aimed at providing comprehensive information that is of
practical help to play therapists and everyone working therapeutically, using play, with
children or have an interest in the subject. Its purpose is to be a
lively practitioner journal with a wide mixture of material. See

It became an international journal to serve the needs of
play therapy worldwide in 2003. Contents include editorial
statements, original play therapy articles, synopses, case histories, reviews of
research papers, books etc, news items, details of conferences,
workshops, courses and guidelines for career development.
The Journal also acts as a
forum for discussion and making network connections.
Its subject matter covers all types of therapy that are applicable to
working with children including: art, creative visualisation, drama,
music, storytelling as well as play therapy.
Advertising material will
not exceed 25% of the total space.
'Play for Life' is circulated to all members of Play Therapy
International and its affiliated organisations including PTIrl and PTUK.
There is room in
each issue for at least one page of Irish contributions.

contact@ptirl.org . These should be attached as Word or rich text format (RTF) files.
Alternatively they may be posted to the Editor using a CDROM disc.

requirements.
